The single also made a world record by simultaneously reaching #1 on the music charts in 27 nations. In 2001, EMI published Produced by George Martin, a six-CD box set of tracks charting popular music throughout the previous fifty years. His various novels include: With A Little Help From My Friends, All You Need is Ears and Making Music. With a creative partnership spanning more than 35 years, maybe no one speaks more authoritatively about Sir George Martin than Paul McCartney. When asked to remark on George and his effect on him in a 1998 interview, he stated, George is the man of the year, the man of the hour, the man of the minute, the guy for me.
