Sir David K.P. Li is Chairman and Chief Executive of The Bank of East Asia Limited. For almost 40 years, Sir David has been a driving force in the development of Hong Kong's financial infrastructure. He represented the Finance Constituency in the Legislative Council of Hong Kong from 1985 until 2012. He serves on the boards of several important public corporations in Hong Kong and beyond. Sir David is an outspoken advocate for educational concerns. He is the Pro-Chancellor of The University of Hong Kong, as well as the Founder and Chairman of the Cambridge University Friends in Hong Kong and the Prince Philip Scholarship Scheme. He is Chairman of the INSEAD North East Asia Council, Chairman of the Cambridge Judge Business School China Advisory Committee, and a member of the S.H. Ho College Advisory Board of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Sir David serves on the boards of many registered charities, including The Salvation Army Hong Kong and Macau Command Advisory Board and St. James Settlement.
