Simon Zadek Biography

Mr. Zadek works as a Senior Fellow at the GGGI. He is also a non-resident Senior Fellow at Harvard University's Kennedy School's Center for Business and Government; a World Economic Forum sustainability advisor focused on climate finance and sustainable consumption; an Honorary Professor at the University of South Africa; and an Associate Senior Fellow at the International Institute of Sustainable Development. He founded and was the CEO of AccountAbility until recently, where he developed the organization's global leadership in sustainability standards, collaborative governance, and responsible competitiveness. He was formerly the founding Chair of the Ethical Training Initiative and a Director of the distinguished New Economics Foundation. Mr. Zadek is a member of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development's Trade and Environment Task Force. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Brazilian business network Instituto Ethos, as well as the Advisory Board of the sustainability fund manager Generation Investment Management and the Boards of the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development and the Employers Forum on Disability.
