Sienna Rose's Diana Miller was born in Manhattan but reared in London, England. Her American-born father, Edwin Ed Miller, is an investment banker and a dealer in Modern Chinese art. Her mother, Josephine Jo Miller, was a South African model and David Bowie's personal secretary; she then managed the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City before becoming a yoga instructor. Savannah Miller is Sienna's older sister. When Sienna was 18 months old, the family relocated to Chelsea, London. Sienna spent her weekends horseback riding at her godmother's Wiltshire home. Sienna's parents split when she was six years old. Sienna and Savannah relocated to Parsons Green with their mother, who was also undergoing breast cancer treatment. Sienna's father remarried three times before settling in the Virgin Islands. She went away at the age of eight to Heathfield boarding school in Ascot, where she liked playing lacrosse and performing. When Sienna reached 18, she returned to New York City and enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Following that, she traveled, modeled, performed in theater, and had minor roles in films. She was cast as a flirty model in the BBC comedy Bedtime. In Matthew Vaughn's Layer Cake, she starred as Daniel Craig's love interest.
