American R&B/pop-rock singer-songwriter and actress Shanice Lorraine Wilson-Knox, best known by her stage name Shanice, has been nominated for a Grammy. In 1991, she had Top 10 Billboard hit songs with "I Love Your Smile," "Silent Prayer," and "Saving Forever for You." When I Close My Eyes," another big song for Shanice, reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 list in 1999. She is well known for her coloratura soprano voice and capacity for whistle-like singing.
