She goes by the name Shu-nye-ah and is a gorgeous Canadian pop diva who grew up in the mining community of Timmins. She worked closely with her Native American stepfather to plant trees as part of a forestry crew before pursuing a career in music. Robert Mutt Lange (Def Leppard, Foreigner), Twain's husband and co-writer on her next album, spent a significant portion of 1994 trying to set up meetings with the artist in Nashville. This was a rare non-rock adventure. When The Woman In Me was initially released in the USA and more than a year later, when it returned to the top of the collection outlines for a further six months, it was an unparalleled hybrid achievement. By 1998, sales of this compilation had surpassed $10 million, and four Top 10 national songs had been produced. Twain released her follow-up album, Come On Over, and won the majority of awards for country music during that remarkable year, including Entertainer Of The Year. Under Lange's dazzling production, Twain's country origins were concealed in this primarily pop collection. You're Still The One, a mixed success that peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in May, became an enduring fixture in the US and UK Top 10. From This Moment On, another massive US success was the song that made Shania Twain famous in the UK. It peaked at number 9 in November. That doesn't impress me, man! The following year, I Feel Like A Woman became a massive success song in the US and the UK. By March 2000, the album had been recognized as the best in country music history and the biggest hit album ever by a female artist.
