Ms. Puri served as the Senior Advisor to the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Empire State Development Corporation, the financial and development arm of the State of New York, before being designated Executive Director of Scientists Without Borders. In that capacity, she helped manage the tasks of the 550-member office with a $50 million annual working financial plan and a $500 million projects and capital spending plan to design and direct strategies for significant advancement ventures in the state and to arrange sizable agreements and speculations with effective businesses throughout New York. Ms. Puri also collaborated closely on necessary financial advancement venture arrangements and open/private organizations with the Governor of New York, other selected authorities, and other non-administrative partners. Before joining the Empire State Development Corporation, she worked as the State of New York's Assistant Solicitor General. She formerly worked as a journalist for Fortune magazine. She graduated with honors from Princeton University for her undergraduate degree and distinction from Stanford Law School for her law degree. She formerly served as the Hon. Amalya L. Kearse's legal assistant on the Second Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals.
