He belongs to a class by himself because of the countless pieces he has written alongside luminaries like Sir Richard Branson and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Sean Swarner is the first cancer survivor to stand atop Mount Everest, despite having only one functional lung, a fourteen-day prognosis, and a year in a medically induced coma.

Sean has overcome a predetermined human barrier to alter how the world defines success. Between the ages of thirteen and sixteen, Sean received two fatal cancer diagnoses that were unconnected and of distinct types. Sean shocked the medical community by surviving these cruel illnesses despite an extremely dismal prognosis and being read his death rites.

After overcoming cancer twice, he understood that no task would ever be too difficult and no peak would ever be too high. Sean's ascent to Mount Everest's summit proved his idea.

Sean opted to keep climbing and has reached the tops of the tallest mountains in Africa, Europe, South America, Australia, Antarctica, and North America, making him the first cancer survivor to complete the "7-Summits." Sean achieved the Explorer's Grand Slam by skiing to both the South and North Poles.

Sean is the only person in history to do these superhuman feats, which he did while competing in the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. Sean spreads his message of recovery, hope, and victory to cancer patients worldwide as he defies the odds, pushes his limits of endurance, and inspires and motivates people worldwide.

As the founder of the nonprofit The CancerClimber Association, the author of the book "Keep Climbing," and a motivational speaker to businesses, colleges, and other groups worldwide, Sean also acts as a source of inspiration.
