Sean received his training as an external auditor with KPMG, where he was exposed to the system and internal control evaluations for organizations across various industries. After qualification, Sean focused on focused process reviews with the internal audit delivery teams using his expertise. At this point, he started to focus on fraud risk and developing anti-fraud programs. Sean then worked as a fraud and money laundering specialist for Andersen and BDO Stoy Hayward, where he played a crucial role in establishing a dedicated fraud investigations department. He focused on issues related to the department's infrastructure, including hiring, training, administration, and accounting, in addition to marketing and providing the service to clients. Sean has also worked with the Law Society (England & Wales) investigative section for five years as a senior inspector, looking into fraud, money laundering, and dishonesty cases in the legal industry. Sean has vast experience interrogating suspects and witnesses, sometimes in a challenging setting, and has supervised several high-profile investigations in the UK and abroad. He has expertise in preparing witness statements and affidavits, has worked closely with legal teams, the police, and other law enforcement organizations, and has testified as an expert witness before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and in criminal court proceedings. Sean also has expertise in using technology for data mining, computer forensics, and other investigative approaches and instructing client workers on fraud awareness problems.
