Scott Sleyster Biography

Scott Sleyster is the senior VP and head of the speculation department of Prudential Financial Inc. He is responsible for the construction of the executives' portfolios and the speculating process for domestic and international company operations. Moreover, he oversees the Company's discretionary resource contributions and the administration of variable annuity guarantees. Prudential's Senior Management Council member chairs the Senior Asset Liability Committee. Sleyster has had several high-ranking positions at Prudential since entering the Company, including his current one as CEO of the venture, the head of the Company's Full-Service Retirement division, leader of the Company's Guaranteed Products business, and CFO for the Employee Benefits Division. Also, System has worked with Prudential in the Investment Management and Treasury Derivatives divisions. The framework has taken on a functional role in advancing American retirement strategy and has supported government initiatives to promote the creation of new retirement plans, expand participation under current projects, and increase the overall levels of retirement reserve assets. In 2002 and 2006, he was chosen by President Bush and Congress to represent them at the National Conference on Retirement Savings. He testified in front of Congress on the Over-the-Counter Derivative Market Reform in October 2009. At a formal assessment of The Pension Security Act in 2003, he spoke on behalf of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. He was chosen to represent the White House Conference on Aging in 2005.
