Sarah Silverman attended New York University while growing up in New Hampshire. She started to explore the Manhattan comedy scene about this time and spent as much time in the clubs as she did in the classroom. She began working on "Saturday Night Live" in 1993 and hasn't stopped since. When "The Sarah Silverman Show" debuted on Comedy Central in 2007, it received the most outstanding ratings for a new show on the network in the previous three years. When the theatrical release of the feature-length film adaptation of Silverman's one-woman act took place, it created an enormous stir. The Liam Lynch-directed movie "Sarah Silverman: Jesus is Magic," which was shot in front of a live audience in Los Angeles, attracted a lot of attention at the Toronto Film Festival and generated a tonne of buzz around the country. Silverman was named one of Entertainment Weekly's Entertainers of the Year and earned the title of People Magazine's Breakout Comic of the Year. She presided over the MTV Movie Awards' first-ever live broadcast. Also, she has emceed the Film Independent Spirit Awards. Also, she co-starred in the films "There's Something About Mary," "The Way of the Gun," "Evolution," "The Bachelor," and "Say It Isn't So" directed by Ivan Reitman. Eugene Levy and Sarah co-starred in the FOX comedy "Greg the Rabbit." In addition, she has appeared as a guest star on several renowned and well-known television programs, including "The Larry Sanders Show," "Seinfeld," and "Mr. Show with Bob and David." Moreover, Silverman provides the voice for the wildly popular Comedy Central program "Crank Yankers." She attracted recognition for her appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and her viral video collaboration with Matt Damon.
