Sarah Murdoch is an Australian model, actress, and television host who was born in England. Murdoch was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, where she studied ballet at The McDonald College of the Performing Arts. She changed her mind after being told by the ballet instructor, Alan Alexander Cross, that she was too tall and would never make it as a dancer. She worked as a model for Bonds, L'Oréal, Revlon, Ralph Lauren, Yves Saint Laurent, and Estée Lauder, as well as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editions in 1999 and 2003. In Australia, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States, she has been on the covers of Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Glamour, GQ, and Harper's Bazaar. On the famous morning news and interview show Today, Sarah filled in for Jessica Rowe. Rowe was on maternity leave for four months. Murdoch's presenting responsibilities on Today would end on March 30, 2007, according to the Sydney Morning Herald on March 26, 2007.
