Sarah purchased a truck and took over delivery at the age of 16, and it wasn't long before she had grown her client list from 12 to more than 150. She took over the family business when she was 18 years old.

Sarah's brothers (Leonard, Harley, John, and Ted Frey) returned home to work with their younger sister as her company grew, and they still do today. The corporation also has operations in Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois, and the West Virginia panhandle.

Though Frey Farms is well-known for its huge pumpkin activity, pumpkins are only a small part of their business. Watermelon, cantaloupe, sweet corn, hard winter squash, and fall ornamentals are also produced by Frey Farms. Sarah's new idea, Tsamma (pronounced sah-mah)Watermelon Juice, was inspired by the prevalent product of watermelon.

Sarah has ensured that Tsamma is accessible to thirsty customers around the country by dealing directly with the top retail chains. Tsamma (pronounced Sah-Mah) is the United States' first and only canned watermelon juice. Tsamma was founded by Sarah after she saw a void in the market for flavored juices and sports drinks.

She launched Tsamma in June 2014, seizing the opportunity to fill a business vacuum, and within two months had secured product distribution in over 1,500 stores across the country. Sarah was named one of the Eight Women Leaders You Should Know by the PMA Foundation.

She is a member of the United Fresh Government Relations Council and Grower-Shipper Commission, as well as the National Watermelon Promotion Board. Sarah also serves on the Illinois Agriculture Coalition, which was established by Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner. Sarah Frey-Talley is the President and CEO of Frey Farms, as well as the maker of Tsamma Watermelon Juice.
