Sarah Anthony Biography

Sarah Anthony's career in documentaries began at Paladin InVision in London. She has worked on various projects for BBC Channel 4 and PBS, including Sinatra: Black Star, Extreme Oil, and Commanding Heights: The War for the Global Economy. After moving from London, Sarah worked in Boston for PBS FRONTLINE as an Associate Producer on the four-hour documentary The Age of AIDS, which won the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award, the Dupont Columbia Journalism Prize, and a special Emmy award for health reporting. Working with local and national AIDS organizations, Sarah created an outreach program based on the movie that included testing and informational events nationwide. In addition, she made two teaching toolkits, one to train journalists in reporting on the HIV/AIDS pandemic and the other to inform high school students about the disease. When Sarah joined Exclusive Media in 2007 as the Co-Head of Documentary Features, she was responsible for overseeing the development and production of several movies, including George Harrison: Living in the Material World, Last Play at Shea, which tells the tale of Billy Joel's final performance at iconic Shea Stadium, and Undefeated, winner of an Academy Award. Sarah returned to FRONTLINE in 2010 to create Endgame: AIDS in Black America and was awarded a journalism fellowship from the Kaiser Foundation for her work covering the medical field. In addition, she served as the Line Producer for Actual Reality on R. J. Cutler's The World According to Dick Cheney in 2012.
