Sanjiv Singh Biography

Since September 2012, Sanjiv Singh has also been in charge of Scandinavia and Eastern Europe for LACOSTE/Yello Sports GmbH, which he has led in Germany and Austria since 2010. The Yello Sports GmbH, an international subsidiary, directs sales and marketing efforts in traditional wholesale sales to multi-brand stores, internet sales, retail operations at full and outlet price points, and all conventional and unconventional local marketing executions and adaptations. Sanjiv Singh was reared in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and was born on May 23, 1971. At Gordonstoun School in Elgin, Scotland, he completed his A-Level examinations in 1988 and earned his German Abitur there in 1990. After spending a semester at the ESC in Dijon, France, and another at the University of California in Berkley, USA, Singh enrolled at the European Management School in strict-Winkel, earning an MBA in 1995. Singh speaks all of these languages with ease. Sanjiv Singh finished a traineeship with Hugo Boss in Metzingen in 1995 and later rose to Head of International Sales at BOSS GOLF. He accepted the position of Executive Vice President for Tommy Hilfiger Tailored Clothes at Strellson AG in Switzerland in 1999 and started from scratch to grow the business. Singh said these were his "marking years in the fashion world." Singh joined ESCADA AG in 2005 as its director of international sales. Sanjiv Singh served as the CEO of BUMLER AG before joining LACOSTE in 2010.
