Sanjay Pradhan is in charge of the World Bank Group's leadership, learning, and innovation for the development agenda, as well as the general coordination of the internal reform initiative. He's a member of the President's Senior Management Team as well. Mr. Pradhan formerly served as Vice President of the World Bank Institute, where he advocated for an open development strategy based on knowledge, learning, cooperation, and innovation. Mr. Pradhan is a well-known expert on issues of governance and anti-corruption. He was the Director for Governance at the World Bank, where he oversaw the creation of the Bank's Governance and Anticorruption Strategy and gave strategic guidance on how to improve governance and combat corruption. Mr. Pradhan has a notable research record, having worked in developing nations in South Asia, Europe, and Central Asia, as well as East and West Africa. He is a co-author of the 1997 World Development Report, The State in a Changing World, and a primary author of the World Development Report, The State in a Changing World. He's spoken in the European Parliament, the British House of Commons, the BBC World Debate, and the TED Global Conference, among other places. Mr. Pradhan graduated from Harvard University with a Ph.D. and a Bachelor's degree.
