Samuel Larsen Biography

Larsen began playing drums, bass, guitar, and keyboards as a child. He was a member of the marching band at Murrieta Valley High School when he graduated in 2009. He joined the school band 15 North as a vocalist and guitarist in his sophomore year, and the band played at festivals. Larsen has modeled for Jac Vanek, a clothing and accessory company. Larsen auditioned for American Idol season 9 in 2010 but was cut after making it to Hollywood and failing to enter the semi-finals. He met his soon-to-be bandmate Skip Arnold during a runway show after doing some runway modeling for fashion designer Ashton Michael, traveled to Los Angeles busking, and registered to The Glee Project. He played the part of Sam Evans on Glee but was passed over in favor of Chord Overstreet. Joe Hart, a once home-schooled Christian, had his first Glee appearance in the thirteenth episode of the third season, titled Heart. He sang Stereo Hearts by Gym Class Heroes and a mix of The Association's Cherish and Madonna's Cherish on that show. Despite the fact that his prize for winning The Glee Project was just seven episodes, he featured in all 10 episodes of Glee's third season. He also featured as a mentor in The Glee Project's second season and in 12 episodes of Glee's fourth season.
