Samuel A. Donaldson Biography

For 13 years, Samuel A. Donaldson taught at the University of Washington School of Law. During his time at the University of Washington, he was honored five times by the Student Bar Association of the law school with the Philip A. Trautman Professor of the Year award. He worked for the law school's graduate taxation program for six years as its director before spending two years as an assistant dean for academic administration. Donaldson is a member of the Arizona, Washington, Oregon, and California bars and an American College of Trust and Estate Counsel academic fellow. Among his academic publications, Donaldson co-authors the widely used West casebook Federal Income Tax: A Modern Approach and the Wolters Kluwer treatise Price on Current Estate Planning.
