Dr. Sampson Davis was reared in Newark, one of the most impoverished cities in New Jersey, as the fifth of six children. Davis spent his early years in small quarters, surrounded by broken families, violence, and narcotics. Yet, he was a decent student who managed to distinguish between intelligence and fitting in with the crowd. According to Davis, this set of abilities was most important to his survival. While Davis was a student at University High School in Newark, he committed to becoming a doctor with Dr. George Jenkins and Dr. Rameck Hunt. Davis is now a board-certified emergency medicine physician after his two childhood buddies honored their promises to one another. The most recent book by Davis, Living and Dying in Brick City: An E.R. Doctor Returns Home, was published in February 2013. The book discusses Davis' fascinating medical tales and ER experiences and provides preventative advice to help create healthy communities. The secret is to exalt and glamourize education. There must be a face, a physical representation from which all Americans might take inspiration. According to Davis, success requires discipline, dedication, and dedication. Davis, who graduated with honors, earned his bachelor's degree from Seton Hall University and his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He finished his emergency medicine residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, where he was born. Davis now provides emergency medical care at several hospitals in New Jersey. He has contributed every week to the Tom Joyner Morning Show. In addition, he has frequently appeared on CNN and TODAY, highlighting essential and profoundly impactful medical issues. Moreover, Davis co-authors three novels that have achieved New York Times best-seller status: The Pact, We Beat the Street, and The Bond.
