Sacha Pfeiffer is well recognized for her work with The Boston Globe's Spotlight team. She was a part of the reporting team that, in 2003, was recognized with the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for their efforts in revealing the Catholic church's cover-up of priestly sex abuse. Rachel McAdams played Pfeiffer in the Academy Award-winning movie. Both a B.A. and an M.A. are what Sacha earned at Boston University. She received the John S. Knight Journalism Fellow designation in 2005 from Stanford University. She began her journalism career in Dedham, Massachusetts, with the Dedham Times. Pfeiffer started working as a writer for the Boston Globe in 1995. She left in 2008 to work for Boston's WBUR-FM and NPR before returning in 2014. Many additional accolades, including the National Edward R. Murrow Award for broadcast reporting, were given to her for her on-air work.
