Managing Director with Ark Financial Management, a money management firm and President of Aftershock Publishing, Robert A. Wiedemer; is also the Portfolio Manager for a hedge fund known as Ark Strategic Investments. America’s Bubble Economy, a book predicting the current downturn in the economy in 2006 was written by Mr. Wiedemer and published by John Wiley. According to a Senior Investment Columnist at Dow Jones MarketWatch known as Paul Farrell, “In short, America’s Bubble Economy's prediction, though ignored, was accurate,” he says. This book was chosen as one of the best business books of 2006 by Kiplinger. In November 2009, his next book Aftershock was published by John Wiley. Smart Money magazine chose Aftershock as one of the five best investment books of 2009. In August 2011, the second edition of Aftershock became a Wall Street Journal and New York Times Bestseller. And in April 2014, Aftershock’s third edition was published and in July 2015, the fourth edition was also released. The Aftershock Investor (2nd edition released in November 2013) which was a Wall Street Journal bestseller, was co-written by Mr. Wiedemer. All Mr. Wiedemer’s books have sold nearly 1 million copies combined and his book Aftershock received widespread international recognition. It has been translated into Japanese and Chinese and became a bestseller in Korea. His books America’s Bubble Economy and Aftershock have been the subject of many articles in major press publications like Euromoney, Barrons, Reuters, AP, the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The Hedge Fund Journal and others. Robert Wiedemer consults and engages financial analysts, groups of investors and economists such as the Army’s Training and Doctrine Command, various CFA societies, the World Bank, New York Hedge Fund Roundtable and the National Press Club. He’s appeared on TV as a regular commentator on Fox Business News and CNBC.
