Rob Grunewald Biography

Rob Grunewald is an economist at the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank. Grunewald is a community development and regional economics researcher. In 2003, he co-authored “Early Childhood Development: Economic Development with a High Public Return,” and he has since produced many studies on the economic and social implications of early learning. He talks to community and business leaders, legislators, and the media all throughout the United States on a regular basis. Think Small: Leaders in Early Learning, First Children's Finance, and the Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency are among the organizations on which Grunewald has served on boards and advisory committees. He was also the president of the Minnesota Economic Association in the past. He graduated from St. Olaf College with a bachelor's degree in economics and religion and a master's degree in applied economics from the University of Minnesota.
