Jarvis spent a period of 3 years at CNBC reporting on market news from the NASDAQ, New York Stock Exchange and the New York Mercantile Exchange before working at CBS News. Jarvis started her journalism career by writing for many publications, including Business 2.0. and Crain’s Chicago Business. She also worked in foreign currency trading and investment banking. She graduated from the University of Chicago earning a degree in Economics and Constitutional Law. She’s also the recipient of the University of Chicago Dean’s Grant. At the Université Sciences Po in Paris, France, she studied European banking and financial markets and the formation of the European Union. She has been awarded with several awards in recognition for her work with Colin Powell to improve communities and empower children and was named a “National Point of Light,” receiving praises from Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
