Ray Park is a Scottish actor and martial artist, best known for his role as Darth Maul in "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" (1999). Park began training in martial arts at a young age, eventually becoming a champion in various disciplines, including wushu and kickboxing. He was discovered by a talent agency while performing martial arts at a demonstration. He was subsequently cast as Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode I, gaining worldwide recognition. Park has also appeared in other notable films such as "X-Men" (2000) as the character Toad and "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" (2009) as the character Snake Eyes. In addition to his film career, he has also done motion capture work for video games. He continues to teach martial arts seminars around the world.
