Randy Travis is an American country music singer, songwriter, and actor who has sold over 25 million records and won multiple Grammy and CMA awards. Born Randy Bruce Traywick in Marshville, North Carolina, he grew up listening to country and gospel music and began performing in local clubs in his late teens.
In 1978, he moved to Nashville to pursue a music career and signed with Warner Bros. Records in 1985.
