Prineha Narang Biography

Prineha Narang is an American physicist and computational material scientist. She is a Professor of Physical Sciences and Electrical and Computer Engineering at UCLA, holding the Howard Reiss Chair. Narang serves as a U.S. Science Envoy, fostering international science collaboration. Her research at NarangLab focuses on quantum materials, non-equilibrium dynamics, quantum photonics, and quantum information science, advancing technologies like quantum sensing and networks. She founded Aliro Quantum, a company developing quantum network platforms. Narang earned her B.S. in materials science from Drexel University and M.S. and Ph.D. in applied physics from Caltech. Previously, she was an Environmental Fellow at Harvard and an Assistant Professor there until 2022. Her accolades include the 2023 Guggenheim Fellowship, 2021 Mildred Dresselhaus Prize, and 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30.
