Peter Senge is an American systems scientist and the Society for Organizational Learning (SoL) founder. He is best known for his work on systems thinking, a conceptual framework that aims to understand and analyze complex systems by focusing on their underlying structure and interrelationships. Senge received his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Stanford University in 1969 and a Master's degree in social systems modeling from MIT in 1972. He later earned a Ph.D. in management from MIT in 1978. In 1990, Senge published his seminal work, "The Fifth Discipline: The Art and Practice of the Learning Organization," which has since become a classic in organizational development. Senge is also a senior lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management, where he teaches courses on leadership and sustainability.
