Peter Riegert is an American actor, screenwriter, and director. He attended college at the University of Buffalo.
Riegert began his acting career in the 1970s, appearing in several off-Broadway productions and films such as "The Candidate" and "Animal House." He gained national recognition in the 1980s with his performance as Boon in the cult classic film "Animal House." He has since appeared in numerous television shows and movies, including "Law & Order," "The Sopranos," "The Good Wife," and "Dads." In addition to acting, Riegert has directed several films and television episodes, including "By Courier," "King of the Corner," and "Damages." He has also written screenplays for movies such as "Local Hero" and "The Man in the Glass Booth." Throughout his career, Riegert has received critical acclaim and has been nominated for several awards, including an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
