Peter Mazunda is a renowned director of photography, film director, and cameraman in Malawi. With over two decades of experience in the industry, Peter is known for his exceptional skills and unique approach to film production. He is the Managing Director for Xtra Solutions Communications Group, a leading media production company in Malawi that provides various services, including television production, event management, and public relations. Peter's passion for film production began when he was trained in television, production, journalism, and computer engineering at various institutions, including Namibia Broadcasting Cooperation, the Training Institute of African Media Communicators, Egypt Thompson Foundation, and Deutsche Welle Television Training Centre in Germany. He later joined Television Malawi, where he worked for almost four years before setting up his own company. Over the years, Peter has produced more than fifty documentaries, talk shows, and six local and international films. He has received numerous accolades for his work, including recognition for his contribution to the growth of the film industry in Malawi. In addition to his work in film production, Peter is the Board Chairman for Special Olympics Malawi, a non-profit organization that empowers people with intellectual disabilities through sports.
