Pete Hamilton is a retired NASCAR driver from the United States. He won four times in his career, three times for Petty Enterprises (including the 1970 Daytona 500). Pete Hamilton was the winner of the NASCAR Late Model Sportsman Championship in 1967. In 1968, he debuted in the NASCAR Grand National Division, driving Rocky Hinton's #5 Ford in ten of the year's 49 races. Pete won the 1968 NASCAR Grand National Division Rookie of the Year award for his outstanding performance.
