About Paul Kwiecinski
Paul Kwiecinski Biography
Paul's journey to Face The Music has always had a soundtrack. At first it was choir music, singing with his brothers and sisters in the St. Hedwig Choir in South Bend, Indiana; then, playing with his brothers in their band, "The Kruze Brothers". It was while performing with The Kruze Brothers, encouraging the audience to ad lib with them, that Paul started to realize the power of music as a way for people to come together and express themselves. He enjoyed stints with the Notre Dame Jazz Band and local blues bands developed his affinity for the blues, and then he moved on to the 1980's rock 'n roll scene in New York City.
Along the way, Paul began coaching people without realizing that's what he was doing. From a project team he lead at Ford Motor Company, through a 1982 run for the U.S. House of Representatives (from South Bend), where he encouraged people to have a say in their government, he urged people to step outside themselves to see what they found. It was in New York City that he really began coaching; advising individuals on ways to approach their businesses that helped them grow and find satisfaction from what they were doing.
Paul met his wife Lisa Murrell and moved to upstate NY in the early 1990's, where they started their consulting firm, MetaSystem Consulting Group. MCG utilizes a unique holistic systems approach to help organizations in disciplines from teambuilding to strategic thinking. Going back to his musical roots, Paul and a fellow innovative consultant, Mitchell Ditkoff, started Face The Music when they recognized that the process of creating and performing the blues is a powerful (and fun) business simulation.
Working with clients that include Bank of America, Pfizer, Aventis, Allstate, Ernst & Young, Target, Moen, Panasonic, Wells Fargo, AstraZeneca, GE, and Bristol-Myers Squibb, Paul finds that Face the Music's programs are engaging and effective learning tools for change projects including reorganizations, team building, and mergers. He has written more than 60 songs with Face The Music clients, and is currently working on a book based on his Face The Music experiences.
