Patrick O'Dooley Biography

Patrick O'Dooley is a native of Dallas, Texas. He attended the University of Oklahoma on an athletic scholarship, graduating with a degree in marketing. After serving in the U.S. Army overseas as an aviation officer, O'Dooley returned to Dallas, where he enjoyed a successful career in sales and sales management with IBM and Steelcase Furniture Corporation.

A commercial pilot, Patrick has spoken in all 50 states, and 7 foreign nations during the past 20 years. He served on the board of directors of the National Speaker's Association where he earned their highest designation of Certified Speaking Professional, a distinction held by less than 375 speakers in the world.

His clients include American Airlines, Lockheed Corporation, Allstate Insurance, Merrill Lynch Pierce, AT&T, IBM, and the Ford Corporation. While Patrick O’Dooley did not have control over his aptitude, he did develop what he had control over: his attitude. Patrick O’Dooley has achieved much more than he ever would have as a perfect speller with a poor attitude. He leaves his audiences with the message, “Don’t view potential in terms of physical or mental aptitudes, it is attitude that makes the difference!”
