Olaf Groth is a German-American futurist, strategist, scholar, and author specializing in AI, data, and emerging technology transformations. He is a Professional Faculty member at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, where he directs the Future of Technology/Emerging Technologies Strategies program and serves as a Senior Adviser and Executive-in-Residence at the Institute for Business Innovation. Groth is also an Adjunct Professor at Hult International Business School and an Honorary Adjunct Professor at the University of Technology Malaysia since 2024.
As CEO of Cambrian Futures and Cambrian Labs, he advises multinationals, startups, and governments across more than 35 countries on tech-driven disruption. His books include “The Great Remobilization” (2023) and “Solomon’s Code” (2018). A frequent media commentator, he contributes to outlets such as Harvard Business Review and The Financial Times. Groth holds a Ph.D. from Tufts University's Fletcher School and has five patents related to AI.
