Nick Coleman Biography

Nick's major position at Everton Academy as an Academy Sports Science Analyst is to maximize physical development and increase player availability through injury prevention techniques. This will entail the examination of physical data obtained from the players' GPS devices and HR belts. Nick spent three seasons as a First Team Sports Scientist with Crystal Palace, where he concentrated on player and team physical performance, assisting coaches and players in their development and improvement through data analysis. Nick worked with Crystal Palace Academy for a season before joining the First Team, aiding with the establishment of the sports science and strength & conditioning programs. Nick has a thorough grasp of sports injuries and rehabilitation, having graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a degree in Sports Therapy in 2008. Nick then went on to train with a number of rugby clubs before earning his MSc in Strength and Conditioning from St Mary's University College in Twickenham in 2013. Nick is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach as well as a Sports Therapist (CSCS).
