Natalie Allen is a CNN International anchor after working for CNN for ten years from 1992 to 2001. Allen also worked for MSNBC as a news anchor. She has appeared live on NBC's The Nightly News, The Today Show, and CNBC as a correspondent. During her ten years as a CNN domestic anchor, she covered major events in American history such as the Oklahoma City bombing, the 2000 presidential election, and 9/11. She covered the 2004 Presidential Inauguration for MSNBC and covered President Ronald Reagan's burial in Washington live. Allen was The Weather Channel's first full-time environment and climate correspondent for two years, starting in 2007. Allen traversed the country as the primary anchor for the network's weekly news show, Forecast Earth, interviewing environmental pioneers and leaders in the green movement, including sailing with polar explorer Sir Robert Swan and diving with acclaimed oceanographer Dr. Sylvia Earle, among others. She's also written on the country's greenest CEO, the NFL's greenest team, and green venture capitalists. Allen also reported on local green pioneers in Forecast Earth's Grassroots Green program, and she revealed the enthusiasm of those prepared to go to any length to raise environmental awareness in Eco-Extremes. Allen began her career as a newsroom intern at WREG-TV in Memphis, Tennessee, where she was promoted to General Assignments Reporter while still a student. She was chosen Co-Anchor of WREG'S 10 pm News three years later. She covered the Kennedy Space Center for WFTV in Orlando and co-anchored the top-rated morning news show Daybreak. She won an Emmy Award and an Edward R. Murrow Award for News Reporting, as well as being named The Florida Today Newspaper's Favorite Morning Personality. Allen was the keynote speaker for Atlanta Magazine's Women Making a Mark Awards Program for three years. She has spoken for a variety of groups and was featured in Atlantan Magazine's article The Green Queen in 2008. She was also interviewed by National Public Radio for her environmental reporting and Forecast Earthwork at The Weather Channel.
