Mohamed A. Ibrahim Biography

Mohamed A. Ibrahim, Ph.D., PE, is a New York State engineer. For his contributions to the field of protection and control, he has been named an IEEE Fellow. Dr. Ibrahim has lectured at Auburn University and Washington State University and has held posts at Helwan University and Mansoura University. He is a visiting research engineer at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University's Civil and Urban Engineering Department. Dr. Ibrahim left the New York Power Authority as director of protection and control in 2004. He is currently employed by the MTA-NYC Transit system as a Project Engineer. Ibrahim analyses and approves structural plans, as well as the impact of their development on NYCT subterranean or elevated buildings owing to their closeness in all five boroughs of NYC. He has written or coauthored twenty-five technical articles in the fields of computer relaying and protection.
