Mitch Garber, a Canadian-born lawyer, is the Chairman of Invest in Canada, the federal agency of the Canadian government in charge of international direct investment. He is also Chairman of Cirque du Soleil, a prominent worldwide entertainment enterprise in which TPG and Fosun are co-investors. He serves on the board of directors of Rackspace, a prominent hosting and technology business, as well as the board of directors of Lanvin, a leading French fashion house. He served as the CEO of Caesars Acquisition Company and Playtika in the past. In 2017, Caesars Acquisition was successfully integrated into its parent company, Caesars Entertainment, while Playtika, which he acquired and led from its inception in 2011, was sold for 4.4 billion dollars to a Chinese consortium led by Alibaba founder Jack Ma. He is on the boards of many prominent charitable organizations in Canada and Israel. He graduated from McGill University with a BA in 1986, a law degree in 1989, and an honorary doctorate from the University of Ottawa.
