Michelle R. Weise is the Strada Education Network's SVP of Workforce Strategies and the Strada Institute for the Future of Work's Chief Innovation Officer. She is in charge of the company's workforce alignment, as well as innovation and thought leadership efforts. Strada Education, based in Indianapolis, is a nationwide charity devoted to improving lives by bridging the gap between education and work. Michelle consults with start-up CEOs, foundation heads, and institutional executives all throughout the United States. She is a senior adviser for Entangled Solutions and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences' Commission on the Future of Undergraduate Education as well as Village Capital's advisory board. Michelle is devoted to connecting students to affordable educational paths into and throughout the workforce that are verified by employers. She is involved in and across multiple networks of higher education policy, innovation, philanthropy, and institutions. She is a contributor for EdSurge and the former Chief Innovation Officer of Sandbox ColLABorative, Southern New Hampshire University's strategy and innovation research and development lab. While working as a Senior Research Fellow in higher education at the Clayton Christensen Institute for Disruptive Innovation, she co-authored Hire Education: Mastery, Modularization, and the Workforce Revolution with Clayton Christensen. She has also worked at Fidelis Education as the Vice President of Academic Affairs and taught at Skidmore College and Stanford University. Michelle is a Harvard and Stanford graduate who was a Fulbright Scholar. The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Boston Globe, and PBS Newshour have all published her articles and studies.
