Michael Kaiser Biography

Since 2008, Michael Kaiser has served as the Executive Director of the National Cyber Security Alliance. Mr. Kaiser works with business, government, and nonprofit leaders on the STOP. THINK. CONNECT. the campaign, National Cyber Security Awareness Month, Data Privacy Day, and the National Cybersecurity Education Council, among other initiatives. Mr. Kaiser worked in the field of victim services for 25 years, including top roles at the National Center for Victims of Crime and Safe Horizon in New York City. Mr. Kaiser was recently named one of SC Magazine's information security luminaries after serving on the Department of Commerce's NTIA Online Safety Technology Working Group. In 2010, he was honored by Securing Our eCity in San Diego, CA, with the cybersecurity public-private cooperation award. Mr. Kaiser presently serves on the boards of SPIN-USA, a national non-profit organization located in Massachusetts, and the ESET Foundation in San Diego, California. He's also a member of the College of the Atlantic's Board of Trustees in Bar Harbor, Maine, and the New Destiny Housing Corporation in New York City. He co-authored The Official eBay Guide to Buying, Selling, and Collecting Just About Anything with his wife Laura Fisher Kaiser (Simon and Shuster, 1999). He attended the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine, and graduated with honors.
