Micharl Gurian co-founded The Gurian Institute which conducts research internationally, launches pilot programs, and trains professionals. Michael has been called the people's philosopher for his ability to bring together people's ordinary lives and scientific ideas. As a philosopher he has pioneered efforts to bring neuro-biology and brain research into homes workplaces schools and public policy. His newest work on the adult mind WHAT COULD HE BE THINKING? (September 2003) provides a neuro-biological framework by which to understand men work and relationships with women. Michael has served as a consultant to corporations families therapists school districts physicians and other professionals traveling to approximately 25 cities a year to keynote at conferences. He has provided gender training at corporations such as Boeing and government agencies such as the Department of Ecology. As an educator Michael's speaking engagements and teaching assignments have taken him throughout the world including Harvard University John Hopkins University University of Missouri-Kansas City Gonzaga University Ankara University and UCLA.
