Michael Curley Biography

Michael Curley joined the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) as a Visiting Scholar in 2013. He is the author of Finance Policy for Renewable Energy and a Sustainable Environment published by Times Mirror in 2014. He also wrote The Handbook of Project Finance for Water and Wastewater Systems and Fundamentals of Water Finance both published by Taylor & Francis. He contributes to the Huffington Post and is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and the National Press Club. He has published over 40 articles covering a multiplicity of environmental finance issues including many on water supply ecosystem restoration extreme weather events environmental and land regulations and climate change. Over the last 20 years he has taught environmental & energy finance and law courses at the Johns Hopkins University and George Washington University as well as Vermont Law School. He founded the Environmental Finance Centers at the University of Maryland Syracuse University and Cleveland State University.
