Give Up Tomorrow was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Investigative Journalism in 2013 and received the Puma Impact Award in 2012. Almost Sunrise, Collins' most recent film, follows the transformational journey of two Iraq war veterans who embarked on a 2,700-mile trek to save themselves from suicide. It's the first film to explore the concept of "moral damage" and how it relates to the suicide problem. The film premiered at Telluride Mountainfilm in 2016 and has since been seen by over 500 people across the United States, garnering six major prizes, along with the Cine Golden Eagle Award. The video has received media awards from the federal agency SAMHSA and the National Association of Social Workers in recognition of its beneficial influence on society. In 2018, Almost Sunrise received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Current Affairs Documentary.
