Megan Alexander Biography

Megan Alexander joined INSIDE EDITION in fall of 2007 and covers everything from crime stories to the latest fashion trends to what the stars are up to. One of her favorite assignments is the Super Bowl, which she has covered eight times for the show. Alexander has a knack for putting people at ease while entertaining and informing the public about the stories of the day. Alexander also frequently appears on CNN / HLN and “The Wendy Williams Show” as a guest commentator.

In 2014 and 2015, Alexander was named the Special Correspondent for CBS’s “Thursday Night Football,” covering 16 NFL games for all the CBS local stations around the country.

Alexander is the author of the book "Faith in the Spotlight - Thriving in Your Career While Staying True to Your Beliefs,” which is published by Simon & Schuster and available for order on Amazon. Megan also wrote a children’s book called “One More Hug."

Alexander also has a passion for film and theater. She will appear in the upcoming feature film “Heartbeats.” She has also appeared in the feature film “Redeemed” and had a small part in the family movie “Space Warriors.” She wrote the theme song for the indie film “Heaven Cent.”

Before coming to INSIDE EDITION, Alexander worked as a reporter/anchor at KENS5 in San Antonio. She also co-hosted the morning show “Great Day SA” at KENS5, and hosted the lifestyle show “Mi Casa Make-over.”

She is also a frequent keynote speaker at conferences and events around the country for organizations like Girls Quest, Girls Inc. and NAM. Her topics include faith, work, and female empowerment. Alexander hosts the ICM awards from Nashville each year, a show that encourages family-friendly, inspirational music and programming. She sits on the Board of Trustees for the Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation. She and her husband are the proud parents of three children.
