Maggie Brenneke Biography

As a Director of Client Services at SustainAbility, Maggie advises multi-national corporations on how to align commercial success with societal objectives – such as poverty alleviation, climate change and access to medicines.  Clients have included Merck, J&J, Novo Nordisk and Shell. Alongside the company’s chairperson, Sophia Tickell, Maggie is currently managing PharmaFutures (www.pharmafutures.org) – a structured dialogue between the pharmaceutical industry, investors and the global health community, designed to encourage strategic industry approaches to expanding access to health care.

Maggie has developed deep expertise in social innovation and entrepreneurship as the former head of the company’s Skoll-funded research program on social entrepreneurship and has authored several articles and reports, including Growing Opportunity:  Entrepreneurial Solutions to Insoluble Problems and The Social Intrapreneur: A Field Guide for Corporate Changemakers

Maggie has a BA in Economics (honors) from Scripps College, California and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at University of California Los Angeles.
