In 1976 Ms. Kelly a native of Britain became the first woman art auctioneer in America -- an event that at the time was considered on a par with becoming the first woman on the floor of the Stock Exchange. In 1981 Ms. Kelly flew to Calcutta with the hope of meeting Mother Teresa and seeing for herself the work of this famous nun regarded by many as a saint. She not only met Mother Teresa but found herself swept up in ministering to India's poorest alongside Mother's Missionaries of Charity. She has returned to India many times.
