Later recruits included Joe Hahn and Dave Farrell, with Chester Bennington joining in 1999. Linkin Park first gained international attention in 2000 with their debut album, "Hybrid Theory," which reached #2 on the Billboard 200 Albums list in the United States. It was the sixth best-selling album of the 2000s, with diamond certification in the United States and quadruple platinum certification in Europe. In the end, the album's fourth single reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles list (its highest position in Linkin Park's career) and remained there for 38 weeks. Linkin Park's second album, "Meteora," debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in 2003 and went on to become the year's third-best-selling record. Somewhere I Belong,” Faint,” Lying from You,” From the Inside,” Breaking the Habit,” and Numb were among the singles included. “Numb” reached #1 on the Alternative and Mainstream Rock charts in the United States, as well as #11 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Minutes to Midnight,” their third studio album, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in 2007. Shinoda and Rick Rubin collaborated on the album's production. What I've Done,” Bleed It Out,” Shadow of the Day,” Given Up,” and Leave Out All the Rest is the album's five singles. The album "A Thousand Suns" by Linkin Park debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 for the third time in a row in 2010. It was again created by Shindoa and Rubin, and it was a concept album dealing with human concerns like nuclear warfare. The Catalyst and "Waiting for the End," both #1 Alternative successes, were among the singles. The band has also released two platinum-certified remix albums, “Reanimation” in 2002 and “Collision Course” in 2004, the latter of which was a hit with rapper Jay-Z. Linkin Park's albums have sold over 50 million copies worldwide, and their tracks Crawling and Numb have received two Grammy Awards.
