Annette Jones also called Leslie Jones is an American jokester and entertainer who was a cast part and author on Saturday Night Live from 2013 to 2019. Jones has been a highlighted entertainer at the Just for Laughs celebration in Montreal and the Aspen Comedy Festival and featured in the Ghostbusters reboot as Patty Tolan close by Melissa McCarthy Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon. In 2017 and 2018 Jones was designated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on SNL. Jones began to do stand-up parody in school in 1987 when a companion marked her up for a Funniest Person on Campus challenge. After she won the challenge Jones left school and moved to Los Angeles. She performed at normal clubs and worked at Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles and UPS to get by. Mother Love and Dave Chappelle urged her to move to New York City to sharpen her art for a long time where she showed up on BET's ComicView before coming back to Los Angeles. She performed at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood yet got ominous audits. She opened up for Jamie Foxx and was booed by the crowd. Feeling disheartened Jones quit performing for a long time. In December 2013 Saturday Night Live held a projecting call to include at any rate one African-American lady to the show and Jones tried out. Before being approached to try out Jones had reprimanded the show saying that the show and particularly cast part Kenan Thompson was not amusing. Sasheer Zamata was included as a highlighted player while Jones and LaKendra Tookes were employed as scholars. Jones previously showed up on a Weekend Update section facilitated by Andrew Garfield where her jokes about her present dating issues and her expected adequacy as a reproducing slave were met with debate.
