Kim Campbell Biography

Kim Campbell was married to country/pop star Glen Campbell for 35 years until his passing in August of 2017. With God’s help and tough love, Kim helped Glen overcome his addictions early in their relationship, and the happy couple dedicated themselves to raising their three children – Cal, Shannon, and Ashley – all musicians following in their father’s footsteps.

In 2011, Glen was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Kim, Glen and their children courageously decided to share his battle with the disease by allowing filmmakers James Keach and Trevor Albert to document Glen’s Goodbye Tour. Kim remained by Glen’s side every step of the way for what turned out to be an extensive, 151-show world tour culminating in the award-winning documentary, Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me.

Determined to honor Glen by continuing his quest to educate people about Alzheimer’s disease and the role of caregivers, Kim has made it her mission to improve the quality of life for people with dementia and their caregivers. In 2016, she launched CareLiving, a lifestyle guide and social movement designed to support and advocate for caregivers, and to encourage them to care for themselves while caring for others.

As a member of PCORI, Kim joins other celebrities who are stepping forward to speak out for families impacted by Alzheimer’s like Leeza Gibbons, Dan Gasby & B. Smith, Greg O’Brien, as well as actress Linda Grey, Paula Abdul, and Ron Reagan.

In recognition of her dedication and work, Kim has been made an honorary faculty member of the Erickson School, University of Maryland Baltimore County, connecting the brainpower of a leading research university with the practical expertise and knowledge of aging services leaders nationwide.
