Kim Alexis Biography

Kim was discovered at the age of 17 while still in high school. She had planned on going to college to study Pharmacy when life took a 90 degree turn. She was in modeling school one night when a talent scout spotted her.

Soon John Casablancas from Elite Models in New York flew to Buffalo to sign her to a modeling contract. Kim has been seen repeatedly on magazine covers and had over 500 worldwide including: Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan. She set the record for Glamour magazine covers and appeared in 6 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editions. She also walked the runway for the top designers in New York and Milan as well as landed countless cosmetic and beauty advertisements and television commercials. She became the exclusive face of Revlon’s Ultima II.

Kim quickly transitioned into broadcasting. She worked for 3 years as the Fashion editor for Good Morning America then became the television host of kid and family shows as well as a travel show. She learned all aspects of being a spokesperson including satellite media tours and public speaking.

After her modeling career and during her television and speaking engagements, Kim started to write. She had so many questions from young girls looking to be models that she wrote an ebook with an inside look at being discovered in the modeling world. She also wrote 2 fictional books using her knowledge of the modeling world to create mystery novels; Beauty to Die For and With a Little Luck. She also co wrote a book on not compromising in todays culture with insights into her modeling days used as examples called A Model for a Better Future. She didn’t stop there as she had learned so much from the crazy diets and how to train for the 8 marathons she ran that she wrote 4 ebooks touching on her health problems and concerns.

Kim has 3 grown sons and currently lives in Boulder, CO where she travels for speaking and work. She continues to work towards her life goal of encouraging, sharing, and inspiring women to be their best in all areas of life through her books, talks, and personal blog.
