Katrine Bosley Biography

Editas Medicine's Chief Executive Officer is Katrine Bosley. She has been in the biotechnology industry for 25 years, working on innovative medicines in a variety of modalities (small molecules, biologics, vaccines, gene editing) and diseases (cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, rare genetic diseases, Hepatitis C, et al). Katrine was previously the CEO of Avila Therapeutics and the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at The Broad Institute, a biomedical and genomic research centre (acquired by Celgene). Previously, she was Vice President, Business Development at Adnexus Therapeutics and then Vice President, Marketing at Adnexus Therapeutics, Strategic Operations following Bristol-Myers Squibb's acquisition of Adnexus. Katrine also worked at Biogen in business development, commercial operations, and portfolio strategy, and she was a member of Highland Capital Partners' healthcare team. She holds a bachelor's degree from Cornell University. In addition to her role at Editas, Katrine is Chairman of the Board of Genocea Biosciences (NASDAQ: GNCA), a Board member of Galapagos NV (EURONEXT and NASDAQ: GLPG), Scholar Rock, LLC, and BIO – the Biotechnology Industry Organization, and a review committee member for the Wellcome Trust Translation Fund.
